Teenage friends Chloe, Willow, Annie, Rachel, Holly and Amber become absorbed in a diary from the First World War, and discover that the choices they make have consequences, just as they did for fourteen-year-old Grace one hundred years ago.Amber makes a bad decision but finds forgiveness, Annie’s ear-piercing episode goes wrong, Holly’s honesty pays off, Willow finds hope in her grief . . . the girls continue to live, love and laugh together through all the trials and joys of life. And discover that even when things seem to be going wrong, God is still at work.Brilliantly written Christian chick-lit to encourage and inspire!Reviews:Having a friend at school to support and help you is important, I know this from previous experiences. The book really shows how the girls relationships become stronger as the book goes on. As each girl in turn is faced with an obstacle, they use different strategies to get out of their problem- in the last part Willow found out at the end of the story from her dad, also Willow turned to God for help about her grandad. I think is is very clever that the author links the stories together and you see something from another persons perspective. In my opinion this book is for girls as the main characters are all girls. My favourite part is Graces story, Discoveries, as I loved finding out how Grace felt during the war and in hard times. It made me feel more open about God and that he can help in any circumstances. - GraceI loved the links between all the parallel stories, a fantastic read! Very, very well-written! - Natalie
